1978 GMC Motorhome

Selling my classic 26-foot 1977 GMC Motorhome for $8,000. This coach features the highly sought-after and rare rear bathroom floor plan and boasts major mechanical upgrades that make it a reliable, turn-key cruiser. It runs and drives great, and sleeps up to 6 people comfortably.

Mechanical & Chassis Upgrades:

Engine: Oldsmobile 403 V8 upgraded with an aftermarket Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system for reliable starts and modernized fuel efficiency (EFI digital monitor is mounted right on the dash).

Transmission: Fully rebuilt transmission.

Suspension: Upgraded to the modern "Quad-Bag" air ride system, eliminating the worry of the original factory air cones.

Power: Onboard 6000-watt Onan generator to power the coach off-grid.

Interior & Living Quarters:

Rare Rear Bath: Features a spacious rear bathroom with a toilet, vanity sink, and a tub/shower combo.

Highly Versatile Rear Lounge: The rear cabin features facing button-tufted sofas that can be configured three different ways: as comfortable seating, folded out into a spacious bed, or converted into suspended bunk beds (as shown in the photos).

Kitchen/Galley: Features a 4-burner Magic Chef stove with a folding metal splash guard, a double stainless steel sink, plenty of wood cabinetry, and a working vintage NuTone Food Center.

Appliances: Upgraded Dometic refrigerator/freezer that is exceptionally clean.

Front Dinette & Cockpit: The forward dinette features updated grey/white patterned upholstery and drops down into an additional bed. The cockpit retains its classic woodgrain dash, a modernized Sony radio, and clean captain's chairs.

Known Issues / Additional Notes:

The transmission is beginning to leak.

There is a slight leak in the roof.

The dash AC does not work.

The rear roof AC does not work.

This coach is a fantastic piece of automotive history with the most expensive mechanical weak points already addressed. Feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a time to view it.

1977 Royale 26FT-rear bath

1977 GMC Royale Motorhome $28000.

This is your chance to own Man Cave on Wheels. Why build one when you can just drive in and hook up. You can park it at the house or take it camping or tailgating. This is a 50 yr. old motorhome that was ahead of it’s time and is great shape. You’ll be the envy of your friends, neighbors and other GMC’ers!
It has beautiful walnut walls and cabinets, with white leather captain chairs and two matching barrel chairs: fridge to keep the ice, beer and snacks cold: a built-in bar for your favorite beverages. Comes complete with a small functional kitchen to make your favorite snacks. Best of all, it has your own bathroom, no wandering back to the house or across the parking lot. Also if you need a nap, there is two twin beds in the back. This is a complete Man Cave!! Not to mention you will have support from fellow GMC’ers.
Located on the south end of Whidbey Island, WA
This is a well maintained motorhome, I’ve enjoyed it for the few years I’ve had it. Time to let it go so I can concentrate on my 1976 GMC and I’m too tall for the twin bed. This motorhome has never failed at getting attention from other GMCers and the general public, it is that nice! You can see that in the pictures.
It’s ready to travel, all systems G0. I just took it on a shake down trip to the Columbia Gorge (330 miles) after the rebuilt Manny’s transmission was installed. It performed beautifully and no issues. Full disclosure, the Onan Generator runs great but doesn’t produce any power. I never used it anyway.
